On January 10th, 2009 sambo seminar with Grandmaster David Rudman was held
David Rudman was World Sambo Champion; 9 times Sambo Champion of former USSR (6 times individual and 3 times team); twice Europe Judo Champion, and won bronze medal in World Judo Championship. He was a member of USSR Sambo and Judo national team for 10 years.
His nickname was "king of ground fighting". He was the founder, first director and first coach of the biggest SAMBO school in Russia "Sambo-70", where now over 5000 students study this martial art under guidance of 80 instructors.
4 of his students are World Sambo champions. He was also the coach for UFC champion Oleg Taktarov and the recent Pride champion Fedor Yemelyanenko.
David Rudman published 7 books in Sambo, latest one "SAMBO self defense without weapons from V.Spiridonov to V.Putin" is available in English.
Right now Grandmaster serves as President of International Amateur Sambo Federation (FIAS) and resides in NYC, also he is working on project to release series of books in English "1000 submissions in Sambo".
